Terms and Conditions

  1. Discount Provision: Optical Partner agrees to offer a discount of up to 20% on all frames to all members of the insurance partner under the EyeMed’s partnership scheme. It is mutually agreed that all payments due for upgrades beyond the covered benefits (“out of pocket”) will be collected directly from the member by the partner opticians.
  2. EyeMed Lens Catalogue: Optical Partner agrees to dispense lenses exclusively through the lens catalogue provided by EyeMed and EyeMed’s designated supply chain, in accordance with the existing terms of revenue sharing.

  3. Clinical Services Fee: For all vouchers and insurance claims, which includes a sight test, the Optical Partner will receive a clinical services fee of £25.00 for conducting a sight test and dispensing of eyewear.  This fee will increase to £30.00 where a voucher for safety glasses is presented. All insurance allowances , where a sight test is carried out, will be subject to an assessment fee of £10, to cover insurance claims and payments transactions. If there is no sight test/examination carried out but other clinical services offered/entered, EyeMed will charge an assessment fee of 15% of the total fees, capped at a maximum of £10.00.

  4. Insurance Entitlement: For insurance members, the optical partner agrees to receive the insurance entitlement (“members allowance”) that will be paid on a bi-weekly or monthly basis depending on the insurance partners.  Any other fees due to the Optical Partner will be paid in accordance with the EyeMed vouchers terms (i.e. – at the end of the following month). Any money owed by the Optical Partner for assessment fees and supply of lenses from EyeMed will be deducted from this amount before payment, and a full reconciliation will be sent to the practice.

  5. Outstanding Balances: The Optical Partner accepts that any money owed by the practice to EyeMed that cannot be deducted from the balance owed to EyeMed will be invoiced and will be due for payment by the Optical Partner within 30 days of the invoice.

  6. Value Added Tax (VAT): VAT will be applied as applicable in accordance with UK law.

  7. Notice of Changes: Should the undersigned decide to terminate the EyeMed partnership at any time, they will provide EyeMed UK with a written notice of such intent 90 days in advance. At the end of the 90-day notice period, the practice will return both sample fitting sets to EyeMed UK.
